• Position: Supervising Social Worker - Fostering (Starting Well)
• Location: London Borough of Havering
• Contract: Permanent
• Grade 7/8 - Salary: £42,324 - £51,522 per annum plus a Market Supplement of £4,000

About the Role

Following our recent Ofsted inspection, we are committed to improving our Children's Social Care services. We seek dedicated social care practitioners passionate about making a difference in children’s lives, supporting their well-being, and contributing to our improvement journey within the Starting Well Department.

We offer development opportunities through our Social Care Academy, regular training, and a supportive environment aimed at excellence in child care.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage a caseload supporting foster carers, including assessments, care planning, and safeguarding.
• Conduct regular visits to foster carers, including unannounced visits.
• Undertake assessments and reviews, contribute to meetings, and work collaboratively with other agencies.
• Provide out-of-hours support on a rota basis and travel across the borough as needed.
