Rate: £33.30
As a member and team player of an established Support and Development service, you will:
- Have good knowledge and experience working in accordance with Fostering regulations and NMS standards.
- Ensure all compliance for foster parents is updated and recorded on LCS.
- Communicate and support foster parents with trauma-informed understanding and therapeutic principles.
- Supervise foster carers, ensuring all key areas are discussed, recorded, and challenged where necessary.
- Manage a caseload of foster parents and complete all tasks in line with the role of SSW.
- Efficiently record fostering annual reviews and present them to panel when required.
- Attend team meetings and support colleagues as needed.
- Participate in a duty rota, supporting foster carers, and completing viability assessments twice per month.
We offer a hybrid work-from-home policy with access to office space at the Guildhall building in Shrewsbury. Foster parents mainly reside in Shropshire County. The role allows for more work from home with occasional office presence, which can be increased if desired.

Candidate Requirements:
- DIPSW or equivalent qualification in Social Work
- Social Work England registration
- Enhanced and in-date DBS certificate
- Excellent communication skills and decision-making abilities
- Ability to work independently and within multi-agency setups
- Knowledge of service needs
- Competent IT skills and ability to navigate electronic systems
- Ability to write clear and robust assessments and reports
- Flexible approach to work and hours as needed
