Job summary

Blue Sky Fostering in the Devon & Cornwall area is seeking a part-time Supervising Social Worker to support foster carers and children. You will undertake home visits, manage placements, and work with our clinical and support teams to ensure the right care plans are in place.

The role requires a recognised social work qualification, SW England registration, a full UK driving licence, and willingness to work occasional evenings/weekends.

Qualifications

• Hold a recognised Social Work qualification.
• Current Social Work England registration.
• Full UK Driving Licence and own vehicle.
• Willing to undertake an enhanced DBS check.
• Experience in children’s services and foster care delivery.
• Willing to participate in out of hours support and occasional evenings/weekends.

Job Title: Supervising Social Worker

Working Pattern: Part Time (30 hours per week), with on call rota at evenings and weekends

An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Supervising Social Worker to join the team at Blue Sky Fostering. We are looking for a passionate and experienced Social Worker to join our team in the Ivybridge Area, which covers the Devon & Cornwell Area.

As a Supervising Social Worker with Blue Sky Fostering you will hold a manageable caseload allowing you to play a key role in ensuring our foster carers & children/young people have the support, guidance and training they need to thrive. You will collaborate with of our dedicated clinical and support teams to ensure the right support is in place for our Carers, Children and young people.

As a Supervising Social Worker you will keep in touch and undertake home visits with our foster carers & children/young people becoming an essential point of contact. You will be responsible for ensuring that children’s care and development needs are met within placements by undertaking necessary placement management, planning and intervention for both emergency and planned referrals. As a key member within the team you will ensure that our children/young people have a safe, stable environment in which they feel Loved, cared for and are nurtured to reach their full potential.

What we’re looking for

• Hold a recognised Social Work qualification
• Have a current Social Work England registration
• Hold a full UK Driving Licence and have a vehicle
• Are willing to undertake an enhanced DBS
• Have experience in children’s services and foster care delivery
• Willing to participate in an out of hours telephone support system and undertake occasional out of hours/weekend work by attending events, meetings and training
