About the role

Due to working time regulations, applicants must be 18 years or over to apply. In addition to the stated pay, you will receive a shift premium for hours worked between 22:00 and 06:00, paid at the pay range minimum rate for your role.

As a Team Leader within one of our Waitrose shops, you'll help create memorable experiences for our customers by providing Partner-led service and passion for food that sets us apart. Your dedication to going the extra mile for both customers and Partners will enhance the Waitrose brand, fostering trust and loyalty, while also supporting sales and profit growth.

Key Responsibilities
  • Supporting the shop's management team with managerial tasks and collaborating with all shop areas to meet customer demand.
  • Ensuring Partners operate safely and legally.
  • Fulfilling online customer orders for delivery.
  • Stock replenishment to ensure shelves are full and products are correctly placed.
  • Assisting with checkout support, managing Click & Collect orders, fulfilling on-demand orders, and more.
  • Proactively driving shop performance and suggesting operational improvements.
  • Minimizing wastage through product due diligence and markdowns.
  • Maintaining a safe and tidy working environment.
Essential Skills and Experience
  • Strong people and leadership skills.
  • Understanding of retail operations and commercial success.
  • Experience in a customer-facing role.
  • Effective stakeholder management, including working with third parties and the wider Partnership.
Desirable Skills and Experience
  • Duty Manager Training (for internal Partners).

This is a full-time role with varied working patterns, including 4 consecutive nights per week, including weekends.
