About the role
As a Supermarket Assistant, you'll help create a positive experience for our customers by providing excellent Partner-led service and demonstrating a passion for food. Your dedication to going the extra mile will enhance the customer's perception of the Waitrose brand, encouraging their trust and loyalty.

Key Responsibilities

  • Stock replenishment to keep shelves full and products in the right place for customers.
  • Fulfilling online customer orders for delivery.
  • Reducing wastage through product diligence and markdowns for items nearing their sell-by date.
  • Supporting the wider shop team with tasks such as checkout assistance, managing Click & Collect orders, and fulfilling on-demand customer orders.
  • Maintaining a safe and tidy working environment with general shopkeeping tasks.

Essential skills/experience you'll need

  • Effective communication skills to work well with the team and customers.

Desirable skills/experience you may have

  • Experience in a customer-facing role.
  • Interest and knowledge in food and drink trends.
  • Flexible approach to support the overall branch operations.
