About the role

As a Supermarket Assistant, you'll help make a difference to our customers on every visit by providing the Partner-led service and passion for food that sets us apart. Your dedication to going the extra mile will influence customers' perception of the Waitrose brand, fostering trust and loyalty that lasts a lifetime.

Key Responsibilities
  • Stock replenishment: ensuring shelves are full and products are correctly placed for customers.
  • Fulfilling online customer orders for delivery.
  • Reducing wastage through product diligence and markdowns on nearing expiry items.
  • Supporting the shop team with checkout support, managing Click & Collect, fulfilling on-demand orders, and more.
  • Maintaining a safe and tidy shop environment with general shopkeeping tasks.
Essential skills/experience you'll need
  • Effective communication skills for teamwork and customer interaction.
Desirable skills/experience you may have
  • Experience in a customer-facing role.
  • Interest and knowledge of food and drink trends.
  • Flexible approach to support the branch.
