Job summary

The RAC is looking for a SuperFlex Roadside Mechanic to join our roadside team. You’ll provide essential vehicle repairs and diagnostics to members on the go, delivering fast, friendly service from a RAC van with fuel card and tools supplied.

We offer a competitive basic salary of £50,669 with a realistic opportunity to reach £57,000, plus £5,200 London Weighting where applicable. Shifts cover early mornings to late evenings, including weekends and bank holidays, across around 40 hours per week.

About The Role

Join the RAC as a SuperFlex Roadside Mechanic

• Competitive salary: £50,669 basic salary, with the opportunity to earn up to £57,000 (plus £5,200 London Weighting Allowance where applicable)
• Weekly variety: You’ll work the on average 40 hours per week across the year, receiving your roster seven days in advance with your core working hours confirmed three days prior.
• Thrive outside of 9-5: Shifts will fall between 06:00 and 02:00, and may include early mornings, evenings, weekends, and bank holidays.

What you’ll need...

• Either: NVQ Level 2 qualification in Light Vehicle Maintenance (or equivalent) with 2+ years’ experience
• or: 5+ years’ experience as a Vehicle Technician/Mechanic
• and: A full UK driving licence with fewer than 6 points
