Job summary

Age UK in Chelmsford is recruiting a Sunday Shop Supervisor to run the busy Sunday shop, ensuring a high level of customer service. You will manage stock, display goods, and keep the shop looking its best while driving sales and Gift Aid uptake.

The role requires a reliable team player with strong numeracy, a basic health and safety knowledge, and the ability to lift stock up to 10kg. Interviews will be held during the advertising period.

Qualifications

  • Excellent customer service skills and a friendly, helpful manner.
  • Able to read and write clearly and perform basic numeracy for tills.
  • A cooperative team player with a flexible approach to shift patterns.
  • Ability to lift and carry heavy bags of stock up to 10 kg.
  • Knowledge of basic Health & Safety and Fire regulations is expected.
  • Previous experience in retail shop operations is advantageous.
  • Willingness to adapt to varying tasks and busy periods.

Job description

Age UK has another fantastic opportunity! We are recruiting for a Sunday Shop Supervisor in our Chelmsford store.

Our shops raise vital funds that enable the charity to support older people across the UK.

We are looking for a Sunday Shop Supervisor to provide a quality retail service, taking responsibility for running our busy shop on Sundays. This varied role will include, managing stock, displaying goods, maintaining the appearance of the shop, maximising sales and promoting Gift Aid to our valued customers.

Due to the nature of this role, you will be required to handle/lift bags of stock (up to 10kgs.)

To ensure the smooth running of our stores, we will be conducting interviews throughout the advertising process. Early applications are advised.
