Job Title: Sunday Assistant Retail Manager

Marie Curie, a leading charity dedicated to providing care and support for people living with terminal illnesses and their families, is seeking a Sunday Assistant Retail Manager. With over 130 shops across the UK, we are committed to making a positive impact in our communities. This role involves supporting the Retail Manager in achieving sales targets and creating an inviting shop environment.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Support the Retail Manager in maximising sales and managing stock effectively
  • Assist in maintaining high standards of display and layout in the shop
  • Provide excellent customer service and engage with customers and donors
  • Support the recruitment and management of volunteers
  • Ensure adherence to health and safety procedures and shop policies
  • Assist in the effective running of the shop in the absence of the Retail Manager
  • Drive sales to improve store performance and support the Store Team in staying within budget
Requirements:
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Strong organisational skills and ability to prioritise workload
  • Experience in retail management, preferably in the charity sector
  • Ability to motivate and influence others
  • Knowledge of health and safety legislation and retail best practices
  • Good team management experience
