    Job summary

    Our Service User Network (SUN) service is based on therapeutic community principles and the post holder will be expected to demonstrate knowledge and experience of group facilitation. SUN is delivered by SABP NHS trust in partnership with Mary Frances trust which is our voluntary organisation in Surrey. We pride ourselves on being a co-produced pathway which means groups within SUN are co-delivered by a clinician facilitator and a facilitator with lived experience.

    The post holder will support the service manager in the delivery of the SUN service alongside 3 clinician facilitators and 4 LXP facilitators. You will co-facilitate SUN groups alongside a facilitator with lived experience, providing peer support groups to people in the community experiencing difficulties associated with personality disorder. You will contribute to the development of the lived experience staff within SUN.

    The SUN team works from SABP HQ, Leatherhead on Tuesdays and Thursdays, the post holder will be expected to be in office on those days.

    Main duties of the job

    Clinical: Co-facilitate SUN groups with SUN lived experience facilitators and lead on safety plans and risk management.

    To provide day to day support to the SUN facilitators with lived experience employed by Mary Frances Trust, our Voluntary Sector partner.

    To work with Service manager to organise and ensure the delivery of the programme of groups in the area.

    Chair team planning meetings and business meetings with support from service manager on a rotational basis.

    To lead and support the SUN lived experience facilitators to plan, organise and facilitate focus groups and meetings with SUN members to further develop a truly co-produced SUN service.

    Be confident in delivering virtual events, presentations (both virtual and F2F) to promote and publicise SUN widely.

    Be responsible for relevant data collection on work activities, inputting data onto SUN databases as required, and to maintain a high standard of clinical record keeping

    To promote the SUN model and the effective use of team clinical supervision and reflective practice.

    Management:

    To lead on various aspects of service delivery as required by the SUN service manager.

    To take up acting lead role in SUN service managers absence with support of PD pathway service lead and SUN clinical supervisor

    Support the recruitment and training of staff within the service when required

    Provide senior cover to the team when service manager is on leave.
