Job description

The Southern Universities Network (SUN) comprises of a number of higher education providers, further education colleges, schools, and other organisations in Dorset, Hampshire and the Isle of Wight. It is part of the Uni Connect Programme. Funded by the Office for Students (OfS), the Uni Connect programme aims to reduce the gap in higher education participation between the most and least represented groups, and to support young people to make well-informed decisions about their future education. The Uni Connect programme also aims to support collaboration by higher education providers working together with schools, colleges, employers and other partners and to strengthen evaluation practice in the sector.

The post-holder will support the delivery of the SUN outreach programme to young people aged 13-19, both on-and-off campus, in accordance with the aims and objectives of Uni Connect. This includes the development, delivery and monitoring of activities to targeted Uni Connect students in Hampshire, Dorset and the Isle of Wight. Workshop delivery will include activity for secondary school and post -16 students in school, college, and university campus settings and includes the design and creation of workshops and educational resources (e.g. workbooks, Powerpoints). You will also coordinate employer led workshops and SUN events as outlined in the SUN operating plan.
