Job Description:

Responsibilities:

  • Assist individuals or groups of students with classroom activities under the guidance and direction of a teacher.
  • Assist with classroom and behavior management plans under teacher guidance and direction.
  • Collaborate with school staff, related service providers, student services staff, and families.
  • Perform other tasks as assigned by teacher, site administrator, or coordinator.
Experience:
  • Experience working with children from diverse backgrounds.
  • One year working with students who have disabilities.
Qualifications:
  • Graduation from high school or equivalent education; and
  • 60 college credits from a regionally accredited college/university; or
  • A qualifying score on the ParaPro (or better).
Preferred Skills:
  • Reliable, dependable, flexible, and punctual.
  • Flexible and willing to work as a team.
  • Knowledge of the needs of students with disabilities.
  • Ability to take initiative appropriately.
