Job summary

Pertemps Gloucester is seeking a Summer Opportunity Production Operative (Process Technician) in Ledbury. Join a fast-paced FMCG production team on a fixed-term May–August project, with 12-hour shifts and day/night weekend work. Start dates include May with immediate starts and training on SCADA systems.

You will operate machinery, follow SOPs, and help keep operations compliant with GMP standards while gaining hands-on experience to boost your CV for future roles in production and engineering.

Qualifications

• GMP or food manufacturing standards preferred.
• Excellent attention to detail and a quality-focused mindset.
• Ability to follow processes and production schedules.
• Good numerical and analytical skills.
• Basic IT skills (Excel, Word; SAP bonus).
• Team player who thrives in a fast-paced environment.
• Flexibility to work 12-hour shifts (days, nights & weekends).

Responsibilities

• Operate production machinery and equipment in your area.
• Follow SOPs to ensure consistent output.
• Maintain a safe working environment and identify hazards.
• Complete production records, logs and quality documentation.
• Support product changeovers to meet production schedules.
• Ensure high hygiene and housekeeping (GMP).
• Follow production plans to hit daily targets.
• Escalate issues to the Team Leader.
• Support waste reduction and clean-as-you-go practices.
• Learn and use the SCADA system.
