Job summary

Bulgin invites motivated engineering students for a hands‑on, 8‑week paid placement in Cambridge. You will join our engineering development team, contributing to real projects and learning from industry experts.

Responsibilities include designing, prototyping, testing, and leadership within electro‑mechanical product development, with exposure to FEA, tolerance analysis, and 3D modelling in SolidWorks and PDM.

Qualifications

• Currently pursuing a degree in Engineering or a related field.
• Familiarity with CAD software and engineering principles.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
• Effective teamwork and communication skills.
• Attention to detail in design and testing.

The role

We are offering an exciting engineering opportunity for a passionate and motivated student who is eager to gain hands‑on experience in the field. During your 8‑week paid placement, you will be an integral part of our engineering development team, contributing to real projects and learning from industry experts. In this capacity, you will be responsible for a project which will include designing, prototyping, testing, and leadership.

• Design, development, and testing of electro‑mechanical products
• Conduct detailed engineering calculations and analyses, such as FEA and tolerance analysis
• Support the creation of 3D models and technical drawings using SolidWorks and PDM
• Collaborate with cross‑functional teams including manufacturing, product management, and quality
• Participate in prototype testing, data analysis, and reporting
• Ensure compliance with safety, environmental, and industry regulations
