Job description

We are looking for a reliable and enthusiastic Kitchen Assistant to join our busy kitchen team over the summer period. This role would ideally suit a student, particularly someone studying hospitality or having experience in a fast‑paced professional kitchen.

You will be assisting our cooks with day-to-day kitchen operations, helping to ensure smooth service during busy periods.

Duties will include:

• Supporting cooks with basic food preparation
• Maintaining high standards of kitchen cleanliness and hygiene
• General cleaning of kitchen areas and equipment
• Assisting with stock rotation and deliveries
• Always following food safety procedures

Requirements:

• A positive, can‑do attitude and willingness to learn
• Ability to work well in a busy, team‑focused environment
• Understanding of, or willingness to learn, food hygiene and allergen awareness
• Reliability and good timekeeping
• Previous kitchen experience is useful but not essential, as full support will be given. This role would be particularly suitable for someone looking to build experience in hospitality.
