Job summary

British Airways offers a 10-week Summer Internship, giving you a taste of Graduate Programmes and the chance to work in either Head Office functions or the Engineering department. You’ll complete projects and daily tasks, guided by experienced colleagues, in a fast-paced corporate environment.

You’ll build your network within the Graduate community and explore other business areas. The program is tailored to individual career ambitions and areas for development, with opportunities to grow

• Work either in Head Office functions or within the Engineering department, gaining hands-on experience.
• Collaborate with knowledgeable colleagues who’ll guide and support you.
• Build your network within the Graduate community and learn about other areas of the business.
• Participate in learning modules and digital mentoring on Speedbird-Z to help your application.
• Be part of an inclusive culture and engage with diverse networks such as LGBTQ+ Flying Proud and BeMe.

What You’ll Be Doing

• Duration: 10 weeks over Summer


• Get a taste of our Graduate Programmes with this exciting Internship. It may only last the summer, but you’ll pack plenty in.


• Depending on your interests and area of study, you could be based in either one of our Head Office functions or within our Engineering department, gaining valuable hands‑on experience in a dynamic and fast‑paced environment.


• You’ll complete projects, business as usual tasks, and activities that make a real difference to our business - all while working alongside knowledgeable colleagues who’ll guide and support you.


• It’s a true experience of what it is like to work in a corporate environment.


• You’ll have plenty of opportunities to build your network with the Graduate community and learn about other areas of the business too.


• We’ve always been interested in different perspectives and viewpoints. Fresh thinking and new ideas. So we encourage applicants from any degree field.


• The internship is tailored to every individual, based on your career ambitions, strengths, areas of development and where we have exciting projects, you will grow in confidence, increase your employability and grow your leadership skills.

Who We’re Looking For

• We are looking for a minimum of a predicted 2:2 degree, or equivalent, in any subject.


• You MUST be returning to university following your 10 week Summer Internship.


• You will have the desire to try new things, challenge yourself and develop in a short time.
