CQuence Robotics is offering a Summer Intern position for Mechanical / Product Engineering, based in the Cambridge area. The role supports design, prototyping and integration of a compact robotic platform for lab workflows.

Ideal candidates are pursuing mechanical engineering, product design or robotics with strong A-level maths/physics, CAD experience and hands-on prototyping skills. Location is on-site in Cambridge; duration 4–8 weeks; pay £450 per week; hours flexible by agreement.

Qualifikationen

• Strong A-level background in Maths and Physics; related subjects desirable.
• Interest in mechanical engineering, product design, mechatronics, robotics or related areas.
• Experience with CAD, prototyping, and workshop environments.

Aufgaben

• Design and prototype mechanical parts using CAD and 3D printing.
• Help specify parts for external manufacture such as machined components.
• Use analysis tools like FEA and simulations to prove designs before manufacture.
• Support bench testing, iteration, and documentation of decisions.
• Integrate designs with electronics, PCBs, sensors and test rigs.
• Collaborate with science, electronics and software teams on requirements.
• Explore manufacturable details for a compact lab system.
• Document designs, parts, suppliers and build/test processes in ERPNext.
