Job summary

PA Consulting in Melbourn, Cambridge, is offering a full-time 8-10 week internship starting June 2027 for undergraduates in mechanical engineering. You will join the Global Innovation and Technology Centre, contributing to prototyping, testing and collaborative product development alongside engineers, designers and scientists.

Applicants should be working toward an accredited degree, be growth‑minded, collaborative and capable of rapid skills uptake in a hands-on workshop and lab setting.

Qualifications

• Undergraduate degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field.
• Strong problem-solving and analytical abilities.
• Clear written and verbal communication, with ability to work in a team.

Responsibilities

• Assist in developing prototypes and test rigs in the MECH/GEN labs.
• Observe user interactions to ensure intuitive product experiences.
• Collaborate with designers, engineers and scientists to shape new products.
• Support engineers in testing and prototyping activities across projects.
