Job summary

GCHQ’s Summer Intelligence Internship offers UK students a unique view into intelligence work, team-based projects, and specialist training. You’ll start with induction and IT training, then join an intelligence mission team to experience life as an Intelligence Data Analyst.

Eligible candidates are British Nationals from minority and disadvantaged backgrounds, in their penultimate or final year, exploring a potential career in the UK’s intelligence community.

Qualifications

• British National from a minority background and socially disadvantaged background.
• University students in their penultimate or final year (for 2026/2027).
• Interest in intelligence and a future career with GCHQ.

Responsibilities

• Gain insights into the organisation and the role of an Intelligence Data Analyst.
• Attend induction and IT training, then join an intelligence mission team.
• Develop skills with bespoke technology and data from internet-connected devices; use advanced skills if available.
