Job summary

Job description

Are you qualified to EFL and are free between June to August 2026? Why not gain or expand your classroom teaching experience in our central London school, as part of Stafford House Study Holidays. Experienced and newly qualified teachers, welcome. Whether you hold a relevant EFL qualification, a PGCE, or an equivalent qualification in English, Primary Education, or Modern Foreign Languages, we have a range of opportunities from 15-30 hours per week. You are also welcome to take part in activities and excursions, paid at an additional rate.

Qualifications
  • First degree or equivalent, EFL/TESOL qualified (e.g. CELTA, CertTESOL, or another TEFL certificate meeting Accreditation UK criteria)
  • PGCEs in English, Modern Foreign Languages or Primary welcomed
  • DELTA/DipTESOL or equivalent MA qualification desirable
  • Educated to Degree level (preferred)
  • Experience of teaching using Interactive Whiteboards and Digital Teaching Platform preferred
  • Experience of teaching Exam Preparation for Trinity GESE desirable
  • Experience working with young learners
  • Be collaborative, passionate about teaching and EFL
  • Have a working knowledge of safeguarding practices
  • Must already have the right to work in the UK; we cannot sponsor you
  • All teaching qualifications must include a minimum of 6‑hour observed teaching practice as part of their course; evidence in your transcript is required. We cannot accept certificates without this, in line with Accreditation UK standards.

Hours & Pay
  • Hours: 15-30 hours per week (Monday to Friday)
  • Pay: £23.01 per contact hour plus holiday entitlement.
  • £24.46 per contact hour for those with 2+ years post qualification experience.
  • £14.85 per contact hour for those choosing to take part in activities & excursions programme.
