Job summary

Ultimate Activity Camps is seeking an Activity Instructor to deliver structured activities for children aged 6-14 at St Gabriel's School, Newbury. You will lead and supervise groups, ensuring welfare and safety while creating engaging sports, arts, crafts and games sessions.

The role emphasizes high energy, excellent communication, and the ability to tailor sessions by age and ability. Training, progression opportunities, and a supportive team environment are provided.

Qualifications

• Experience of working with children and delivering activities.
• Able to tailor delivery and structure of a session according to age and ability.
• Be enthusiastic, energetic and passionate about developing children through play and activity.
• Good organisation and communication skills. Candidates must be confident in their ability to lead a group of children.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and deliver activities for children aged 6-14, focusing on participation, development and enjoyment.
• Take a pastoral role as a group leader, welcoming new children into your group and liaising with the Camp Manager and/or parents as necessary.
• Supervise and engage with the children outside of activity times; promote welfare of the children.
• Lead sessions and act as a role model, adhering to camp policies including health, safety and safeguarding.
• Adhere to the Ultimate Activity Camp promise and undertake other ad-hoc duties as needed.
