You will work remotely, providing interpreting services over the phone or via video calls. Your role involves interpreting conversations accurately and efficiently in various professional settings.

Requirements

The Job

• Interpret between English and your native language over the phone or video calls.
• Provide interpretation services to clients with limited English proficiency.
• Interpret for legal, health, and local government services.
• Check understanding with non-English speakers after each sentence.
• Perform conference, consecutive, and public service interpreting.
• Offer accurate, confidential, and impartial interpreting services.
• Maintain confidentiality and adhere to the Code of Conduct.

About You

• Fluent in English and your native language.
• Have the right to work in the UK.
• Be aged 21 or over.
• Possess relevant qualifications such as:
  • Diploma in Public Service Interpreting (DPSI)
  • Community Interpreting
  • NRPSI, CIOL, ITI registration (advantageous)
  • Degree in Translation/Interpreting/Languages
  • Other interpreting-related qualifications
