Position: Sandwich Artist at SUBWAY (Winthorpe Avenue SPAR)

Part-time hours: Minimum 16 hours per week, possibly more depending on store needs. Various shifts available on weekdays, evenings, and weekends.

We have an exciting opportunity for a 'Sandwich Artist' to work in the SUBWAY department within our Winthorpe Avenue SPAR store. We are looking for motivated, friendly, hands-on individuals who enjoy working as part of a small team. Reporting directly to the Subway Duty Manager, you will provide exceptional customer service, greet and interact with customers in a friendly manner, and create a pleasant experience while completing orders.

Responsibilities:

• Understand and explain menu items and options to customers accurately.
• Neatly prepare sandwiches according to customer orders.
• Re-stock ingredients to ensure sufficient supply during shifts.
• Use the till to record orders, process payments, and give correct change.
• Follow all Subway, SPAR, and company policies and procedures.
• Adhere to food handling, safety, and sanitation standards when storing, preparing, and serving food, and during cleaning.

Key Skills and Knowledge:

• Previous experience in a similar role or industry is preferred.
• Understanding of health and food safety legislation in a food environment.
• Ability to contribute ideas for delivering excellent customer service and driving the business.
• Keen and enthusiastic attitude, capable of working independently and in a team.
