Job Title: Substitute Flexible Teacher
Location: Farnborough, Hampshire
Salary: £94 - £140 per day (Depending on experience)
Start Date: September 2025
Contract Type: Full-time

GSL Education are seeking an adaptable and committed Substitute Flexible Teacher to support a welcoming school across Farnborough. This is an exciting opportunity to work in a supportive school environment, delivering lessons across different subjects while maintaining a positive and engaging classroom atmosphere for students.

As a Substitute Flexible Teacher, you will play a vital role in ensuring continuity of education in the absence of the regular class teacher. This flexible role is ideal for enthusiastic educators who enjoy variety and are confident teaching across different age groups and subject areas.

Key Responsibilities:

• Deliver pre-planned lessons and ensure learning continues in the absence of the regular teacher.
• Manage classroom behaviour and maintain a positive learning environment.
• Support students’ learning and well-being across different subjects and year groups.
• Follow school policies and procedures while maintaining a professional approach.
• Provide feedback to teaching staff on student progress and behaviour.
• Adapt teaching methods to suit the needs of different learners.
• Establish positive relationships with students and staff to support a collaborative school community.

Requirements:

• Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) and relevant teaching experience in UK schools (desired).
• Strong communication and classroom management skills.
• Adaptability and confidence teaching across multiple subjects or year groups.
• A valid Enhanced DBS registered on the Update Service (or willingness to apply).
• A current CV covering the last 10 years with any gaps explained.
