Balfour Beatty Power T&D is recruiting a Substation Electrician (Wireman) to support delivery of works around substations in Scotland.

You will liaise with project management, ensure timely delivery of equipment, and cooperate with commissioning and engineering teams while maintaining a strong safety culture.

The role requires SJIB qualification and HV substation experience, a valid UK driving licence, and offers flexible smart working options with a competitive benefits package.

Qualifications

• Must be SJIB qualified and competent in HV substation work.
• Experience with installation procedures on site.
• CPCS training or equivalent.
• Ability to work at heights and follow safety culture.
• Strong communication to brief the team and engage stakeholders.
• Hold a current UK driving licence.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate with Project Management to track progress.
• Ensure equipment and materials are delivered to site on time.
• Report accidents and near-misses with accurate details.
• Complete data documentation and reporting within required times.
• Collaborate with commissioning and engineering teams for interfacing.
