We have immediate openings for Project Managers at the locations listed above. Remote/hybrid work options may be considered for applicants with extensive experience in substation design. Responsibilities include the conceptual, preliminary, and detailed design of new, upgraded, and expanded substations, including material procurement, construction, and commissioning/startup support through energization. Additional duties involve scoping, budgeting, scheduling, planning, executing, monitoring, and reporting on substation projects and proposals. Project Managers oversee project teams of engineers, designers, drafters, and support staff, ensuring adherence to ECI's quality control procedures for top-tier project execution and delivery. They coordinate with subject matter expert groups such as Distribution Studies, Transmission Studies, Grounding, Protection (relay coordination and settings), Civil Engineering, Communication (SCADA Integration), Transmission Engineering, Environmental Planning, Surveying, Lands/Right-of-Way, and Project Management/Controls to ensure successful project completion. As primary client and stakeholder interface, Project Managers also provide technical mentorship and training to project team members.

Minimum Requirements: Bachelor of Science or Master's degree in Electrical Engineering, 10+ years of project engineering experience, or an acceptable combination of education and experience; at least 2 years of demonstrated project management and leadership experience; excellent verbal and written communication skills; strong organizational and planning abilities; a commitment to quality and accuracy; and the ability to meet fast-paced project schedules. A PE license and PMP certification are preferred. Candidates must possess advanced knowledge of power engineering principles, be experts in applicable codes, standards, and design tools, and be capable of leading multiple technical disciplines in substation projects. The role may require client-mandated drug and background checks. Occasional travel is expected, subject to ECI's auto insurance requirements. Applicants must not require sponsorship for employment visas (e.g., H-1B).

Salary: Commensurate with experience and education. Benefits include:

  • Medical, dental, and vision insurance
  • Flexible spending account
  • Health savings account
  • Life insurance
  • 401(k), profit sharing, and employee stock ownership plan
  • Paid vacation, personal days, and holidays
  • Parental leave policy
  • Professional education reimbursement
