Job TitleSubstation Inspector

Deliver planned inspection programme of ground mounted plant from LV to 11KV in accordance with the annual inspection programme. (Substations / Pillars / Linkbox) being able to work as part of a team as well as loan worker. Potential for standby working and or overtime hours as required

What you'll be doing

  • Contribute as an effective member of the Maintenance dept to help deliver the business plan.

  • Visual inspection of assets, and surrounding environment, to ensure system integrity.

  • use of systems to ensure defects are correctly reported.

  • Report i (immediate) defects are reported to Troublecall.

  • Provide customer contact for access arrangements or queries in order to minimise complaints.

  • Actively identify work priorities and forward plan to ensure most efficient working practice delivers the business plan.

  • Strive to eliminate customer complaints as an on-site representative of the company.

What you'll bring

  • Full driving licence

  • Ability to work flexibly and on own at times across the Distribution area.

  • Practical abilities to interpret ordinance survey maps to work in the most efficient manner.

  • Use of test equipment (we have removed the word electrical)

  • Undertake risk assessments and understand appropriate next steps.
