Overview: Applications are invited for a substantive post in the Palliative Medicine Department at Oxford University Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust. Candidates with consultant experience are encouraged to apply to join an established team and help lead the palliative care department. This PA post includes an on-call commitment with Category B availability supplement and remuneration. Part-time applications will be considered.

Main Duties: The department offers a Community Service supporting patients across Oxfordshire and South Northamptonshire, including a supportive care day service, hospital services across four acute sites, and inpatient hospice units at Sobell House and Katharine House. The successful candidate will join a team of consultants, associate specialists, specialty doctors, fellows, and trainees. The role involves strategic leadership in delivering and enhancing palliative care across hospital, community, and hospice settings. The post also involves teaching medical students at the University of Oxford and participating in MDT and quality improvement activities.
