Job summary

Nottinghamshire Healthcare NHS Foundation Trust is seeking an experienced clinician to manage a caseload of patients with diverse substance misuse treatment needs. You will provide a comprehensive package of care including psychosocial and pharmacological treatments and work within an integrated health care team.

You will plan discharge and liaise with community services, and support take-home naloxone training as part of safer prescribing.

Qualifications

• Caseload management of patients with diverse substance misuse treatment needs.
• Experience in psychosocial interventions and pharmacological treatments.

Responsibilities

• Provide a comprehensive package of care including psychosocial and pharmacological treatments (e.g., Methadone, Espranor, Buvidal, Naltrexone, Acamprosate, Disulfiram).
• Work within an integrated healthcare team with primary care, mental health and pharmacy colleagues.
• Ensure continuity of care through discharge planning and liaison with community services and prison services as required.
• Obtain clinical observations and urine drug screening to support safe prescribing decisions.
• Plan, deliver and train junior staff in evidence-based psychosocial interventions.
• Engage in appraisal, supervision, and personal development to meet department objectives.
