Job summary

Northamptonshire Healthcare Foundation Trust is recruiting for a Band 5 role within Integrated Substance Misuse Services in a secured setting. You will deliver psychosocial interventions, support harm reduction and work closely with prescribers to optimise patient care in a prison environment.

You will assess needs, formulate care plans, participate in reviews and contribute to training junior staff while maintaining high standards of documentation and safety.

Qualifications

• Evidence of required years of UK residency to meet prison vetting standards.
• Experience delivering structured psychosocial and clinical interventions.
• Experience working in prison or secured settings.
• Ability to deliver structured group-based interventions.
• Excellent communication, record-keeping and documentation skills.

Responsibilities

• Carry a psychosocial caseload with assessment, care-planning, implementation and evaluation.
• Lead or co-facilitate group work related to substance misuse and offending behaviour.
• Liaise with internal and external services within prison and community for through-care.
• Assist dispensing as second check for controlled drugs in substance misuse.
• Support Peer Mentor scheme through supervision and training involvement.
