Substance Misuse Social Worker - Aspire4parents

It is a very exciting time to be working in the drug and alcohol field, with significant new career opportunities being created.

The parental substance misuse team (Aspire4parents) is a small, dedicated team working with a focused caseload, supporting families to break intergenerational addiction issues and maintain healthy family relationships with minimal statutory social care involvement.

Main duties of the job

Manage a caseload of service users where substance use is part of the family dynamics. Support the smooth running of interventions for adults with children under 16 across the service. Support the delivery of a specialist service.

Aspire is a partnership between ADS and Rotherham, Doncaster and South Humber NHS Foundation Trust (RDaSH). It combines the strengths of NHS provision, led by a consultant, with the voluntary sector provided by ADS. The partnership has worked together for over 20 years, providing Drug and Alcohol Services to local communities. It is a forward-thinking and innovative partnership that works closely with recovery communities to provide flexible, responsive services aimed at achieving the best outcomes for service users and the community.
