Job description

To work as a member of a multidisciplinary specialist drug team, providing information, advice, assessment, caseload management, recovery, and harm reduction services to drug users.

To work across treatment pathways to provide a range of interventions including duty cover, substitute prescribing, 1:1 keywork sessions, facilitation of groups, community care, and GPSC.

Responsibilities include:

  1. Participating actively in team meetings, group supervision, and clinical team meetings as an effective team member.
  2. Managing a caseload of service users with complex needs, completing assessments, risk management, treatment plans, and co-produced care plans.
  3. Working with service users on opioid substitute and non-opiate treatments, including testing for illicit drug use, liaising with pharmacies, GPs, and issuing prescriptions under medical supervision.
  4. Adhering to safeguarding protocols to protect children and vulnerable adults, including completing assessments, referrals, and reports.
  5. Collaborating with partner agencies and professionals to ensure coordinated treatment and care planning.
