We have an exciting opportunity for a Prescribing Pharmacist to join our Pharmacy team at HMP Fosse Way. Practice Plus Group are delighted to have been awarded the healthcare contract for HMP Fosse Way, Category C resettlement prison in Leicester from 1st July 2025. HMP Fosse Way opened in May 2023. Its state of the art design and facilities offer a secure environment to provide skills and qualifications to the men, enabling them to secure meaningful employment on release with the aim of reducing reoffending rates.

This position is full time, you'll receive an annual salary up to £33,510 per annum - depending on experience.

Main duties of the job

As a Substance Misuse Recovery Worker, your responsibilities will vary. You will

  • work with other members of the team that you are part of, assessing needs of patients and assessing risks accordingly.
  • provide outstanding evidence-based care to a case load of psycho-social patients seeking out, listening to and acting on their feedback so that care is personalised and informed by what matters to them.
  • provide a programme of psycho-social interventions, along with information and advice on substance misuse related concerns.
  • develop and apply new skills to maintain and enhance clinical service delivery.
