Offenders are a challenging population with complex healthcare needs, often involving chaotic lives, poor engagement with community healthcare, high substance misuse, and mental health issues. This role offers a real chance to make a difference.

We are seeking a Band 6 nurse from diverse backgrounds. Experience with substance misuse, mental health, or prison healthcare is advantageous but not essential, as full support and training are provided.
Oxleas offers NHS healthcare services in community and secure settings, including community health, learning disability care, and mental health services. Our multidisciplinary teams serve people of all ages across many locations in the South of England, including hospitals, clinics, prisons, and community settings.
We operate in the Boroughs of Bexley, Bromley, Greenwich, and parts of Kent, managing hospital sites like Queen Mary’s Hospital, Sidcup, and Memorial Hospital, Woolwich, as well as the Bracton Centre, our medium secure unit. We are the largest NHS provider of prison health services, covering prisons in Devon, Dorset, Bristol, Wiltshire, Gloucestershire, Kent, and South London.
