Job Description

Service Care Solutions are supporting a Drug and Alcohol service in Manchester. They have a requirement for a Registered Mental Health Nurse. You must deliver high standards of nursing care for the treatment and support of substance dependency. Additionally, you should be able to provide high-quality clinical assessments and treatment to clients with substance dependencies in a residential setting, working within a multidisciplinary team.

Key roles and responsibilities for a Registered Mental Health Nurse
  1. Support drug and alcohol users with complex needs as part of a 12-step programme
  2. Liaise with other professionals and members of the wider multidisciplinary treatment team
  3. Provide interventions
  4. Promote health and well-being of clients and maintain a safe, caring therapeutic environment
  5. Undertake initial health assessments on admission, including mental health and substance misuse history
Minimum requirements for a Registered Mental Health Nurse
  1. Nurse qualification – RMN with UK registration
  2. Ability to work with the 12-step programme (Recovery Model)
  3. Awareness of health issues related to Substance Misuse
  4. Experience in key working and care planning

Pay rates:

  • £29.78 PAYE per hour - exclusive of holiday pay
  • £33.38 PAYE per hour - inclusive of holiday pay
  • £38 Umbrella rate per hour
