The Vacancy

The Alcohol & Drug Service (ADS) is a registered charity dedicated to transforming the lives of individuals affected by drug and alcohol misuse for over 40 years.

Aspire is a partnership between ADS and Rotherham, Doncaster and South Humber NHS Foundation Trust (RDaSH). It combines NHS strengths under a consultant's leadership with voluntary sector expertise provided by ADS. It is an exciting time in the drug and alcohol field, with new career opportunities emerging.

The Outreach Team engages with rough sleepers, hard-to-reach communities, and individuals with physical health needs, supporting them to access treatment and community services. The successful candidate will develop holistic care packages based on assessments of risk and need, working flexibly to meet the needs of this group.

Applicants should have relevant experience in the substance misuse field, a degree such as psychology, sociology, social work, or a Diploma in Health and Social Care or equivalent, and L3 Tackling Substance Misuse or equivalent.

We offer a comprehensive package of accredited qualifications and support for newly qualified Social Workers through the ASYE programme.

Note: You must hold a valid Right to Work in the UK; we cannot support sponsorship visas.

In return, ADS offers:

  • Salary: £25,905 - £31,611 depending on experience
  • Generous annual leave: 29 days, increasing to 31 after 2 years and 34 after 5 years, plus Public Holidays
  • Health Scheme
  • Training opportunities aligned with personal development plans
  • The chance to be part of a rapidly growing and exciting organization

Working at ADS means more than a job; it's an opportunity to make a real difference in the lives of individuals with substance misuse issues and their families.

This post is exempt from the Rehabilitation of Offenders Act 1974.
