Job Description:

Job Profile

Due to growth, an experienced Claims Technician is required to join a Subsidence Team where you will provide Technical Building Claims Solutions and support to a team of Surveyors and a Claims Management Team.

Main duties include:

  1. Communicating with customers, contractors, and insurer clients via telephone, email, and written correspondence.
  2. Managing third-party companies to achieve vegetation removal and drain repairs to mitigate subsidence damage.
  3. Updating and creating building repair scopes using in-house schedules of rates.
  4. Negotiating cash settlements for repairs with policyholders.
  5. Managing panel contractors, overseeing repair schedules, and controlling costs.
  6. Settling claims under delegated authority.
  7. Qualifications/Experience: Previous subsidence/buildings insurance claims experience, extensive trade experience (5+ years), or a graduate building surveyor.
  8. Strong communication and organizational skills.
  9. High standard of customer service.
  10. Computer literacy with excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  11. Ability to work in a fast-paced, target-driven environment.
  12. Positive attitude, flexibility, self-motivation, and teamwork skills.
  13. Attention to detail, problem-solving skills, and solution-oriented mindset.
Salary & Benefits:
  • Up to £30,000 per annum
