Job Profile

Due to growth, an experienced Claims Technician is required to join a Subsidence Team where you will provide Technical Building claims solutions and support to Surveyors and a Claims Management Team.

Main duties include:

• Communicating with customers, contractors, and insurer clients via phone, email, and written correspondence
• Managing third-party companies for vegetation removal and drain repairs to mitigate subsidence damage
• Updating and creating building repair scopes using in-house schedules of rates
• Negotiating cash settlements for repairs with policyholders
• Managing panel contractors, repair schedules, and costs
• Settling claims under delegated authority

Qualifications and skills required:

• Previous subsidence/buildings insurance claims experience OR extensive trade experience (5+ years) OR a graduate building surveyor
• Excellent communication and organizational skills
• High standard of customer service
• Computer literacy with excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Ability to perform well in a fast-paced, target-driven environment
• Positive attitude, flexible, self-motivated team player
• Attention to detail, problem-solving skills

Salary & Benefits:

• Up to £30,000 per annum
