Claims Technician - Subsidence Team

Due to growth, an experienced Claims Technician is required to join a Subsidence Team where you will provide Technical Building claims solutions and support to a team of Surveyors and Claims Management professionals.

Main duties and responsibilities include:

  1. Working as part of a remote, desk-based team to drive subsidence claims towards settlement.
  2. Communicating effectively with customers, contractors, and insurer clients via telephone, email, and written correspondence.
  3. Managing third-party companies to facilitate vegetation removal and drain repairs to mitigate subsidence damage.
  4. Updating and creating building repair scopes using in-house schedules of rates.
  5. Negotiating cash settlements for repairs with policyholders.
  6. Managing panel contractors, overseeing repair schedules and controlling costs.
  7. Settling claims under delegated authority.
  8. Having previous subsidence/buildings insurance claims experience, extensive trade experience (5+ years), or being a graduate building surveyor.
  9. Demonstrating excellent communication and organizational skills.
  10. Providing a high standard of customer service.
  11. Being computer literate with excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  12. Thriving in a fast-paced, target-driven environment.
  13. Exhibiting a positive attitude, flexibility, self-motivation, and teamwork skills.
  14. Paying attention to detail and demonstrating problem-solving abilities.
Salary & Benefits:
  • Up to £30,000 per annum.
