KBR Consulting International draws on a heritage of over thirty-five years specialising in the front-end phases of engineering projects from pre-feasibility, up to and including preliminary Front End Engineering Design (FEED) phases. In addition, we undertake small FEEDs as well as providing specialist consultancy to later through to phases of projects. The front-end nature of the work means that we are often involved in developments in areas and technologies new to the engineering industry.

With clients ranging from large internationals to smaller independent companies, we are currently heavily involved globally in the transition from oil and gas to other sources of energy (including hydrogen and ammonia), decarbonisation, production of bio-fuels and the move towards minimal manning of offshore production facilities. Other projects include strategy / master plan development (‘Decisioneering’ process), financial modelling, product & energy optimisation, maximising asset performance and petrochemical integration.

Over the years, KBR has provided support for some of the largest industry capital investments in modern times. Moreover, KBR has acted as lender’s advisor on well over 200 projects for a broad range of clients and financial institutions across many sectors including upstream and downstream oil and gas, speciality chemicals, mining, biofuels, pulp and paper, power, and general infrastructure.

The subsea and pipeline engineering discipline covers onshore pipelines, offshore pipelines and subsea engineering. Subsea and pipeline engineers use their technical expertise and problem-solving skills to find optimum technical solutions whilst working alongside other engineering disciplines to ensure a robust, economic and safe design. Subsea and pipeline engineers gain exposure to design, construction and operation aspects, including in many cases state-of-the art design approaches.

Opportunities within Subsea and Pipeline Engineering for Consulting International

We attract the best minds in the world because our expertise thrives on creativity, resourcefulness and collaboration. That is how we supply our clients with cutting-edge solutions and services. At KBR, we respect and value the diversity of our people. We know that the cultures, ethnicities, religious backgrounds and gender identities that make us who we are as individuals, also make us a better, more socially sustainable company.

We are growing our engineering team and are looking for enthusiastic, self-motivated people with a desire to learn. Working as part of KBR Consulting international will offer you an opportunity to part of a global, diverse, service orientated organisation.

Offering flexible working arrangements, you will be based in our head office in Leatherhead. In addition to competitive benefits and professional development, our people are empowered to use all their potential, creating meaningful change for themselves and our clients.

Our Subsea and Pipeline Engineers range from recent university graduates in Mechanical Engineering through to Engineering consultants with many years’ experience. We provide challenging opportunities for our engineers on projects and help them develop technical and leadership skills, whilst ensuring they are provided with the support they need to develop these skills. Our aim is to support and invest in the engineer to help them gain a wide range of experience in the many different aspects of pipeline design so that they can have a varied and stimulating career.

As Partner of the Institution of Mechanical Engineers (IMechE), we are formally recognised as a company that provides excellent support to young engineers through their early career development, leading to Chartered Mechanical Engineer status. Most of our senior engineers are Corporate Members of the Institution of Mechanical Engineers (MIChemE) and Chartered Engineers (CEng), with many of our most senior engineers being Fellows of the Institution (FIMechE). We actively encourage and support our graduate engineers in gaining corporate membership and operate an IMechE Approved Company Training Scheme (ACTS) for our subsea and pipeline graduates. Many of our Pipeline Engineers have gained experience in overseas locations, including on-site in countries such as Norway, Qatar, Saudi Arabia, Thailand, Azerbaijan and Australia.

Working at KBR means being rewarded for your contributions. In addition to competitive compensation programs focused on total rewards, we provide employees with everything they need for success, including on-the-job training and professional development for continued growth. We help foster this growth through learning and development programs and employee resource groups. Our employee resource groups promote career and personal development by enhancing company culture, encouraging community involvement and fostering interaction among colleagues.
