Job Purpose

We are seeking a skilled Offshore Operations Engineer with extensive experience in the Oil and Gas industry and knowledge and experience in Carbon Capture, Utilization, and Storage (CCUS). The ideal candidate will possess significant subsea experience and be adept at preparing OPEX estimates, developing operational and maintenance strategies, and creating operational diagrams and drawings. They will also provide assurance for operations and manage pipeline preparedness response schemes.

This role will be on an ad-hoc/part-time basis of likely 2 days per week as a minimum, with a strong preference to spend time in our London office alongside the client team.

Job scope

1. Prepare OPEX estimates and budgets for offshore operations.
2. Develop and implement operational and maintenance strategies.
3. Create and maintain operational diagrams and drawings for offshore systems.
4. Provide assurance for operations to ensure compliance with industry standards.
5. Coordinate pipeline preparedness response schemes and strategies.
6. Design and execute offshore TAR (Turnaround) strategies.
7. Develop and maintain standard operating procedures (SOPs) for offshore systems.
8. Manage threat and anomaly registers for offshore operations.
9. Document and manage preparedness response system protocols.
10. Establish preventative maintenance and inspection routines for onshore and offshore assets.

Typical background and experience required:

1. Bachelor's Degree in engineering;
2. Background in project engineering in client office environment;
3. In-depth knowledge and experience of subsea systems and operations;
4. Good knowledge of onshore processing systems;
5. Proven ability to prepare OPEX estimates and manage budgets;
6. Strong skills in developing operational and maintenance strategies;
7. Proficiency in creating operational diagrams and drawings;
8. Experience providing assurance for operations and compliance;
9. Ability to manage pipeline preparedness response schemes effectively;
10. Excellent project management and strategic planning skills;
11. Strong communication and interpersonal skills;
12. Engineering management experience;
13. Proven track record in subsea operations engineering;
14. Understand the different approaches required to deliver lump sum and reimbursable work;
15. Broad technical knowledge;
16. Excellent communication skills;
17. Familiar with project work sequence, activities, and engineering deliverables;
18. Offshore experience in Operations.
