Job summary

Babcock is seeking a Weapons Engineering Instructor to join the HM Naval Base Clyde training team near Helensburgh. The role delivers specialist training on sonar and tactical weapons systems to ensure Royal Navy submarine personnel have the required skills to operate and maintain advanced defence capabilities.

Based onsite, the role runs 37 hours per week with a focus on safety, security clearance, and adherence to quality standards.

Qualifications

• Experience with submarine tactical weapons engineering systems and sonar.
• Ability to review and update training materials reflecting operational/technical changes.
• Strong communication and stakeholder engagement skills.

Responsibilities

• Deliver specialist Weapons Engineering training focused on sonar and tactical weapons systems.
• Review and update training materials to reflect developments.
• Provide technical support for course development and system changes.
• Complete training administration and learner records per quality standards.
• Support security compliance activities and protection of information.
