Job summary

Matchtech is seeking a Marine Engineering Submarine Specialist (MESM) to join our client in Wokingham. The role focuses on developing DSAT courseware and media for the defence sector, ensuring high training material standards.

The MESM requires proven at-sea Cat A Nuclear watchkeeping experience, plus strong electrical and mechanical engineering knowledge, ideally with RN context familiarity. Hybrid working options are available.

Qualifications

• Proven at-sea experience as Cat A Nuclear watchkeeper.
• Strong background in electrical and mechanical engineering.
• Understanding of marine engineering within RN context.
• Experience with DSAT or training material development is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Identify technical data requirements for DSAT courseware and media.
• Gather technical data to support courseware development with customer and internal teams.
• Contextualise training content to meet specific conditions and standards.
• Maintain, review and produce DSAT documentation and processes.
• Interview subject matter experts and participate in internal workshops.
• Foster a culture of Environmental, Health, and Safety (EHS) compliance and continuous improvement.
• Identify and exploit new training methods and media.
