We have an opportunity for a HCPC registered Immunology Subject Specialist to play a key role in the implementation of the new Laboratory Information Management System (LIMS) across South Yorkshire and Bassetlaw Pathology. The LIMS is the first of its type in the UK and provides the chance for the post holder to be involved in the decision‑making processes for the design and workflow within the Blood Sciences workstream.

This vacancy is advertised on a fixed term/secondment contract basis for an initial 7‑month period until 31 May 2026 as the project is currently under replanning.

Key Responsibilities
  • Champion your own field, carry credibility with colleagues and attend all workflow and content events related to your expertise for the project.
  • Play a key role in the development and implementation of the new LIMS, working closely with the Pathology Senior Management Team, supplier product specialists and other key stakeholders.
  • Monitor compliance, achieve key targets and develop robust systems and processes to ensure timely delivery of information.
  • Analyse data to monitor performance trends and targets, utilising the pathology annual business plan as a framework to improve processes and patient outcomes.
  • Work collaboratively across all five trust sites and the wider network to ensure service priorities are met.
