About the role:

Activate Learning has recently secured funding to deliver Higher Technical Education (HTE) skills injection funded projects, focused on supporting the growth of level 4 and 5 qualifications.

As part of this, we are now recruiting for Leadership and Management Subject Matter Experts to design the educational experience for students on a new fully online Higher Technical Qualification (HTQ) in Leadership and Management.

This is an exciting opportunity to join a team of Leadership and Management Subject Matter Experts and leverage your expertise to shape a transformative online learning experience.

You will be responsible for the planning and design for the digital programmes, ensuring the curriculum at every stage of the learner journey is current, relevant, enables students to achieve highly and supports learners to aspirational destinations.

Collaboration and innovation are at the heart of this role. You will work closely with other Subject Matter Experts, faculty and our Digital Education team, challenging existing processes and practices in a supportive manner to drive improvement and create exceptional digital learning materials.

The role is offered on a part time basis, with flexibility to work 1, 2 or 3 days per week and fixed term until December 2024.

Location: This is hybrid role, working remotely with an occasional requirement to travel to our Berkshire campuses for team meetings.

Salary : £42,618 - £52,394 per annum pro rata, depending on qualifications and experience

What do you need to be successful as a Leadership and Management Subject Matter Expert?

We are looking for leadership and management experts who are passionate about shaping the future of higher education.

You will have significant knowledge and experience in your subject matter specialism that you will utilise to design and plan an innovative online curriculum.

About you:

• Level 6 or above qualification in relevant subject area and/or comparable level of industry experience
• Relevant professional qualification (e.g. ACCA, CIPD, CIM or equivalent) or comparable professional experience
• Specialisms in Business, HR, Finance, Project Management, Operational Planning, Leadership, Change Management, Strategy, or Learning and Development desirable, but other specialisms will also be considered.

Your ability to work both independently and as part of a team, meet deadlines, and achieve targets will also be pivotal to this project, along with a creative and solutions-focused approach to problem-solving.
