Job summary

Saints Peter & Paul Catholic High School in Widnes is seeking a proactive Subject Leader of History to shape the curriculum and drive GCSE success within our school community. This pivotal role is for an experienced teacher who is passionate about raising achievement.

You will lead the history department, analyse data, set high expectations for progress and behaviour, mentor colleagues, and deliver professional development to maximise student outcomes.

An exciting opportunity has arisen for a proactive and motivated individual to join our school community and take up the Subject Leader of History. This is a pivotal role for an experienced teacher who is passionate about raising achievement and shaping the curriculum for GCSE success.

As Subject Leader for History you will:

• Lead and develop our history curriculum, ensuring it is engaging, challenging, and aligned with national standards.
• Drive student achievement by analysing data, implementing interventions, and setting high expectations for progress and behaviour.
• Support and mentor colleagues, sharing best practice and leading professional development within the history department
