A leading educational institution is seeking a passionate and motivated Subject Leader for General Sport to cover maternity leave. This role involves managing a dynamic team, enhancing student experiences, and leading various sport-related subject areas. Ideal candidates will hold a relevant undergraduate qualification and have experience in the sport industry. £43,481 - £49,812 per annum

Fixed Term to Cover Maternity Leave
As Subject Leader for General Sport is going on maternity leave, an opportunity has arisen to cover this post. The successful, highly motivated candidate will manage a dynamic team of General Sport lecturers in this high-achieving department. They will have the passion and vision to lead the General Sport subject areas, including Sport & Exercise Science, PE & Coaching, as well as Fitness. They will manage unit and course delivery while striving to continuously improve the student experience. They will actively drive the department forward to ensure that all opportunities have been taken to make the department outstanding.
Applicants ideally will possess an undergraduate qualification in a sport-related subject area and have sound knowledge and experience of the sport industry, particularly in the areas they will manage. They will also have a desire to continuously improve their own skills and knowledge. Ideally, applicants will hold an IQA qualification or assessors qualification to oversee the enrolment, delivery, and assessment of the complementary qualifications within the department. A strong understanding of the Ofsted Education Inspection Framework and how this relates to the management and quality of the department is of significant importance.
