Ormiston Sandwell Community Academy is located in the Metropolitan Borough of Sandwell, and in very close proximity to the centre of Birmingham. It is a slightly larger than average, 11–16 co-educational academy with approximately 1,200 students. It has grown over the last few years and is now full and oversubscribed in every year group for the seventh consecutive year. The academy’s reputation locally is excellent. OSCA was graded as a good academy, for the third time in 2023.

This is a fantastic opportunity for an enthusiastic leader who is passionate about ICT, to lead a wonderful team and develop learning across the department. Could you be the person we are looking for?

We are seeking to appoint an outstanding teacher of Key Stage 3 and 4 who has high expectations, strong classroom management skills and good subject knowledge. You should also be prepared to continually develop your skills to ensure enjoyment and rigour in the classroom.

The successful candidate will be responsible fordriving the raising standards agenda by working with SLT, other curriculum leaders, Pastoral Leaders, Pastoral Team,postholders,teachers and other stakeholders to ensure the highest levelsofprogress, academic achievement, curriculum provision and CPD within their subject area

The post holder will drive our agenda to secure the highest levels of progress, academic achievement and standards of T/L.
