Dalkia is seeking a Subcontractor Manager to join our team at Hinkley Point. This is a full-time, permanent position offering an excellent opportunity to play a key role in the management and coordination of subcontractors on site, ensuring compliance, safety, and high-quality delivery.

Key Responsibilities

  • Maintain and update SMOC records for all subcontractors.
  • Verify and ensure all subcontractor documentation is current and compliant before site access is granted.
  • Actively supervise subcontractor activities on site to ensure adherence to Health & Safety standards and high-quality work.
  • Meet and brief subcontractors upon arrival; supervise their activities throughout the duration of their work.
  • Conduct thorough setting-to-work processes and pre-job briefs as required.
  • Review and validate subcontractor RAMS (Risk Assessments and Method Statements) prior to the start of work; ensure understanding and compliance on-site.
  • For high-risk tasks, obtain prior approval from the local ISM and ensure RAMS are reviewed and signed off accordingly.
  • Perform routine spot checks and audits of subcontractor activity to ensure ongoing compliance.
  • Collaborate with operations managers and supervisors to plan and support subcontractor works effectively.
  • Monitor and review subcontractor performance regularly; report any H&S issues to relevant operational stakeholders.
  • Serve as the primary point of contact for day-to-day subcontractor management on site.

Candidate Profile

We are looking for an individual with strong organisational and Health & Safety capabilities, capable of fostering strong relationships with subcontractors and internal teams.

  • NEBOSH General Certificate (or working towards completion within 6 months).
  • Minimum 2 years’ experience in a relevant role (e.g., Subcontractor Management, Compliance, H&S, Works Management, QA).
  • Proven experience managing subcontractors and driving H&S performance.
  • Strong understanding of H&S management systems and compliance processes.
  • Excellent communication skills across all levels.
  • Effective organisational and problem-solving skills.
  • Familiarity with technical or facilities disciplines.
