Job Title: Subcontract/Procurement Manager

Location: Frimley - Hybrid

What you'll be doing

We are looking for a Procurement professional to lead and manage the procurement activity for strategic bids/projects in support of business winning and growth. Working on a hybrid arrangement, the ideal candidate will reside close to Guildford/London and will be required to come to the office a couple of times per week in line with business requirements.

• Responsible for representing Procurement in major bids containing third-party spend, ensuring a compliant process.
• Maintain effective communication and develop appropriate relationships with internal and external stakeholders, becoming an advocate for Procurement.
• Manage an agreed workload within procurement policy, ensuring priorities are met and issues are escalated when outside your control.

Your skills and experience

• Significant experience working within a business-winning procurement environment.
• High standard of procurement competence in sourcing, process knowledge, negotiation, and contracting skills.
• Excellent project management skills, product awareness, commercial acumen, financial awareness, risk and opportunity management.
• Good relationship management skills.
• Understanding of the external environment and relevant market intelligence.
• Demonstrate strong business acumen.
• Ability to run and direct strategic bids and campaigns throughout the lifecycle.
• Excellent cross-functional stakeholder management and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to develop and lead a high-performing team, fostering a positive and inclusive culture.
• Hold CIPS Level 5 qualification, IACCM, or equivalent.
• Must hold SC clearance or be a UK national eligible to obtain it.
